Love Christmas, hate winter colds!

There’s bad news at Bath & Unwind!  A nasty cold is spreading and the girls are dropping like flies. I’ve heard from various relatives across the country that ‘everyone’s coming down with it’  and with more snow forecast this weekend, the impending cold snap will definitely bring with it more shivers, sore throats and stuffy noses. You probably can’t beat a good dose of Mr Beechams, but for those who prefer a natural approach, here are my top 5 little remedies to perk you up – ready to face the world again!

Aromatherapy Associates Support Breathe Bath and Shower Oil contains Eucalyptus, Peppermint and Tea Tree which, when dropped in your bath or applied to the body before a steamy shower revitalises groggy minds. A great way to start and end a bunged up day – and perfect to treat a bad case of ‘Man Flu’.

Neal’s Yard Remedies offer a completely natural alternative to over the counter cough medicines with Neal’s Yard Echinacea and Mallow Syrup. A soothing blend which features Organic Honey,  this one is also suitable for children.

Another little star for the medicine cabinet, or to keep in your handbag if you’ve braved the outside world, is Neal’s Yard Remedies to Roll for Energy. A balancing blend of essential oils that can be applied to pulse points to help boost the mind and body and overcome that hard to shake lethargy.

Soothe dry, sore red noses and lips with a multipurpose balm such as Jurlique Love Balm. It can be liberally applied just about any spot that needs some extra loving care.

And if you’ve made it out of bed but you still feel and (lets be honest) look a bit on the peaky side, my secret weapon is Decleor Source D’eclat Instant Radiance Moisturiser. Blended with a cocktail of essential oils and fruit extracts, the wonderful little pearly micro particles will revitalise your complexion, leaving you with a much needed glow!
