October 2011 is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Unfortunately, most of us have been affected by cancer in one way or another. If not yourself, then a family member, friend, or friend of a friend. This month is all about increasing awareness of the disease and raising funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer.

There are lots of ways to get involved, including joining an event, fundraising, or treating yourself to one of the many “pink” products on sale to show your support. For more fun ideas visit  https://breastcancer.cancerresearchuk.org/ My favourite idea is the Frock Breast Cancer, where you and your friends/colleagues choose a day or evening to dress up and strut your stuff in your most glamorous outfits! I love any opportunity to dress up!

In honour of this fantastic awareness month I have selected my favourite pink products at Bath & Unwind, so why not paint your nails pink, colour your hair pink, or wear your favourite pink top and support this great cause!

in Pretty Flamingo – Get yourself noticed with this vibrant colour! Fudge Paintbox Extreme Colours are great semi-permanent hair colours that electrify dull, boring hair, lasting for 3 to 30 washes. Not only do they colour your hair, they also condition and give your hair increased shine and lustre. With over 16 shades to choose from you will be spoilt for choice!

I love Leighton Denny All About Me.  This bright pink shade is perfect to wear to brighten up your fingers on these autumn days and will get your hands noticed! As with all Leighton Denny Nail Colours it is easy to apply, long lasting and chip resistant. REMEMBER to always apply a basecoat and topcoat when painting your nails to help reduce chipping and extend wear time!

With its subtle swirls of pink, rose and cream, this powder gives your skin a natural warmth and glow, a great autumn ‘pick me up’ for your skin!

Please share with us favourite pink products you will be wearing this month and how you will be showing your support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2011.
