If you live quite far from your family and don’t drive like me, you might be able to relate to the nightmare that is trains at rush hour.

My train is usually rammed so full that people are standing in the walkways and are squashed up against the doors, meaning there is nowhere to sit and nowhere to put your bags. To add to the problem, I also have a dog that sometimes comes home with me, so as you can probably imagine, I need to pack light

All for Eve Eve’s Balm:

This comes in a cute compact pot, with a mirror in the lid which is an added bonus. Great for lips and dry areas on your face, its lavender, wild mint and chamomile ingredients smell gorgeous and a pot lasts a long time. I always keep this in my handbag as a general rule, but because it is so small, it’s a perfect moisturiser replacement if you really want to travel light!

Alpha-H Liquid Gold:

This is a global bestseller and I can see why. It works wonders for the areas of dry skin on my face. I have only used it a few times and can already see an improvement. It means I no longer need to moisturise daily, so when I am away I can use Eve’s Balm as and when my skin needs it.

Miller Harris Fleur Oriental Eau de Parfum:

I am lucky enough to have a tester bottle of Miller Harris Fleur Oriental for trips away. It has a gorgeous floral scent with spicy tones and isn’t too heavy. Its scent is strong enough to be noticed but you’re still safe if the train is packed on the way back home!

Korres Pomegranate Foundation SPF15:

A thick, creamy foundation that provides full coverage for my red cheeks with SPF15, just in case the sun decides to say hello while I’m on my jollies! A little goes a long way so definitely worth the investment if you have red areas on your face, as I do.

The Balm TimeBalm Anti-Wrinkle Concealer:

Even though I am packing light I still won’t go without a concealer! Spots have a habit of popping up when I don’t want them to; if I let my guard down on a weekend away, I’d be in danger of having to get the train home with my face wrapped up in a big scarf. This is a compact, thick concealer with a mini sponge applicator in the lid. It also helps with under eye circles and problem areas on the face.

Jemma Kidd Dewy Glow Radiance Creme:

If you plan to make a trip down the local pub to “meet your chums” (as my mum says), Jemma Kidd Dewy Glow Radiance Creme will give you a little bit of shimmer and highlight your cheek bones. Apply with the tip of your finger or a foundation brush to achieve the perfect blend. It can also be used on your lids or just under your brows if you didn’t pack an eye shadow.

MoroccanOil:

If you read my last blog post, you’ll know about my dry hair problem. Because I’m packing light I’m not going to pack my own shampoo and conditioner… mum provides that! But the small bottle of MoroccanOil will help with the problem areas of my hair, so is a must for a weekend away. It can also be used on dry hair; simply rub a small amount in the palm of your hands and ruffle through the dry areas.

Fudge Dry Shampoo:

In case I am having too much fun to worry about washing my hair, Fudge Dry Shampoo washes it in just a few seconds, leaving it smelling gorgeous.

Jurlique Citrus Hand Cream:

I suffer from “granny hands” (as an ex-boyfriend so lovingly named them), so cream stays in my handbag when I go anywhere. This is an office favourite, I think mainly because it smells so gorgeous and you can still pick up a cuppa without spilling it everywhere!

Tweezerman Point Tweezer:

We all know tweezers are small and compact, but these ones are the daddy of all tweezers! I have dark eyebrows and as soon as a few hairs decide to say hello, these babies can pluck them out quickly and without a fuss.

Happy travelling!
