The first time I tried Butter London Disco Biscuit, I wasn’t overly impressed with it. I thought that it just looked like many of the other pink nail polishes in my collection and I didn’t feel the glitter was noticeable enough. I don’t really know what changed my mind, but the second time I used it I was a lot happier with the result! It may be due to the fact my nails were pretty non-existent the first time, so any nail polish wouldn’t have looked great or I may have just grown to like it.

Disco Biscuit is part of the Butter London Spring/Summer 2012 collection and is described as a ‘tropical hot pink with an undercurrent of tiny iridescent glitter particles’. I’d say this is a spot on description and I did find the glitter more noticeable the second time I wore it. I applied two coats and used Essie 3 Way Glaze as a top and base coat as usual.

I think the glitter is captured well in the photo and shows Disco Biscuit’s true colour. It’s a great colour to wear on a night out to add some glitz to your outfit!

As with all Butter London lacquers, Disco Biscuit is 3 free. This means it contains no formaldehyde, no toluene and no DBP.

Let us know what you think of Disco Biscuit and if you have any of the other Spring/Summer 2012 collection.

  1. I have to agree with Tilly’s initial reaction, when I first tried Disco Biscuit, I was also ambivalent. I think it definitely looks better with a few coats though, as the colour is more vivid and the glitter does stand out a bit more. Thanks for this, Tilly! You changed my mind:) It’s a great summer colour!
