To apply this blush in the most effective way,  Bare Escentuals suggest that you:

1) Tap a small amount of product into the lid (be really careful here and pay special attention to the word small)

2) Dip the end of your blush brush in the lid

3) Tap the brush on the side of the lid to get rid of any excess product clinging to the brush, and apply in light sweeping motions on your cheeks.

This sounds a bit fiddly and long winded, but it’s a really easy way to control how much (or little!) product you apply. I would definitely recommend a loose powder blush as a perfect day-to-night product at it’s super quick and easy to build up or take off, depending on your desired look.

I was really impressed with how smoothly and evenly this product goes on and I was even more impressed with its staying power (no more toilet touch-ups before drinks after work with this beauty!). I also really like how matte it stays on my cheeks. I like using a highlighter just at the top of my cheekbones, so when I’ve used blushes that already have a bit of shimmer in the past, it can make my face look a bit shiny. With this matte shade, I can blend it well with my highlighter and it combines to give the perfect amount of shimmer.

As you can see from the pictures, Fruit Cocktail is probably the pinky-est of pinks, so this colour is perfect if you’re going for a classic glow. Be careful with this shade though, as if you go overboard, it starts to become very, very bright. I applied some to my hand to show how bright it can come out if you put too much on, but never fear, it blends out really nicely with a blending brush and some pressed face powder.
