International Women’s Day takes place on March 8th this year, and we are taking it as an opportunity to celebrate the women in our lives, and in the beauty industry, who inspire us every day.

We chatted to the team at Noble Isle, to find out who inspires them, and what it’s like to work for a female founded business.

“Founder of Noble Isle, Katy Simpson, has built a business from the ground-up …”

“International Women’s Day is a chance for us to celebrate the women which inspire us all. Despite the issues of gender inequality which still exist around the world, there are many strong women at the forefront of business laying the foundations of change.

We have Mother’s Day to celebrate the women that raised us but what about the other women who influence and inspire us all on a daily basis?

The founder of Noble Isle, Katy Simpson, has built a business from the ground-up and the shelves of internationally recognisable department stores such as Harrods, Liberty and Fortnum’s, can be seen lined with the luxury British Bath & Body Brand.

As everyone in business knows, this was no mean feat. Hours of dedication, hard-work and long nights were undertaken to enable Noble Isle to sit alongside other big brand competitors. As with all businesses, the hard work never stops. Recently, the brand made the decision to turn all of their formulas natural, in line with their eco-friendly ethos and ensuring a sustainable, brighter future for all.

Dramatic changes like this can be “all consuming” for a small business and despite there being multiple challenges along the way, Katy’s perseverance has led to Noble Isle being one of the first British Bath & Body brands to switch all their products natural.

This is yet another string to add to the brand’s bow – Noble Isle is vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, SLS-free and now natural formulations too. There are many other plans on the 2020 horizon to keep this beautiful, British brand ahead of the curve within the luxury and sustainability markets.

Noble Isle works with small, celebrated producers from around the British Isles to source their extracts and everything is created using a fine fragrance, meaning the scent will linger on your skin for hours. Travel the British Isles with the Noble Isle collection from the comfort of your own home – Explore the Cornish countryside with Summer Rising, warm your hands in a Welsh inn with Fireside or bask by the Irish coast with Sea of Green.”

In celebration of International Women’s Day, here are some comments from the Noble Isle team:

Katy truly believes in the emotive power of fragrance and this comes across in every collection she creates. I had Willow Song at my wedding and will always associate this fragrance with my special day. Thanks for staying true to what you believe in Katy – the fragrances really are memorable!

Bath & Unwind’s top picks from Noble Isle

Think fresh, sweet rhubarb, with notes of juniper berries and muddled rosemary. The scent of the Rhubarb Rhubarb hand wash (which also comes in bath & shower gel, candle, body and hand cream) will linger on your skin long after you use it, and remind you of summer days in the countryside.

Word on the street is that Whiskey and Water is David Beckham’s Noble Isle scent of choice … but it is most definitely a unisex fragrance (we bet VB sneaks a bit in the shower every morning).

It’s infused with notes of the finest oak-aged single malt, with warm vanilla and cedarwood aroma’s.
