How to wear tinted moisturiser

Most of us feel more confident about our skin in the summer. With a hint of a natural tan, it can’t be denied everyone looks healthier and indeed happier at this time of year. However, it takes someone with total skin confidence to to go completely nude in the make up department and that’s unfortunately not many of us.

If your foundation is your best friend, consider toning down your coverage for the summer season with a tinted moisturiser.  It will still even out your skin tone, but in the bright sunlight it won’t look ‘cakey’ and in the heat it won’t (embarrassingly) melt off your face.  A lot of tinted moisturisers available also contain at least an SPF 15 which is great for killing two birds with one stone.

Here are my personal picks which should cover all skin types:

  • Dr Brandt Pores No More Refiner Hint of Tint – for oily skin and enlarged or open pores. This is selling like hot cakes!

  • Korres Watermelon Lightweight Tinted Moisturiser SPF30 –  another bestseller, this time for those wanting a high SPF factor using only the most natural ingredients. Smells gorgeous too!

  • Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector for tanned or holiday skin,  this creates a beautiful glow, lovely for sun kissed evenings.

  • Murad Hybrids Skin Perfecting Primer Dewy Finish –  launching here at Bath & Unwind this week, Murad have developed the latest in cosmetic technology introducing their ground breaking formulations to a capsule make up range. I cant wait to try this!
