Why is hair oil so popular?

Never has there been a beauty ‘secret’ that has been around for so long. Passed on through word of mouth over centuries, women worldwide have been using hair oil to battle an array of problems. Whether you suffer from dandruff, dry or brittle hair, or just want to promote growth, oils are the way forward for all hair types. Oil can sound off-putting, but it won’t make your hair look greasy, just healthy and full of shine. Use sparingly and massage into the tips of your hair. You will be delighted with the results!

All about Macadamia Oil

Why choose Macadamia Oil?

Macadamia Oil products combine some of nature’s most powerful ingredients for healthy hair, including oil from the macadamia nut and argan seeds. Macadamia nut oil is bursting with goodness from essential fatty acids, meaning that it is one of nature’s most powerful ways to enrich and replenish your hair. Argan oil is proven to improve your hair’s strength and health, as it is rich in Omega 9 and unsaturated fatty acids.

Putting oil in your hair can sound off putting, (“what if it makes my hair look greasy?!”) but don’t worry, Macadamia Natural Oil is very lightweight, so won’t make you hair look greasy if used correctly, just strong, healthy and full of shine…

What Macadamia Oil products can I get my hands on?

  • Healing Oil Treatment This oil treatment provides intense nourishment and a finish that is smooth, free from tangles, frizz and grease, long-lasting, manageable and shiny. It also reduces drying time by up to 40-50% – fabulous!
  • Deep Repair Masque If you are after long lasting conditioning benefits, then the Deep Repair Masque is for you. Bursting with natural goodies, it rebuilds and rejuvenates your hair leaving it with improved elasticity and shine (and deeply nourished, of course).
  • Nourishing Leave-in Cream It’s here to tame disobedient and mischievous hair, while adding shine and natural UV protection.

There are loads more products for you to get your hands on, so check them out to see what must-haves you can snap up today.

What Macadamia Natural Oil would be best for my hair?

Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment

This week I have been loving my new purchase of Macadamia Oil Healing Oil Therapy!  I usually use MoroccanOil on my hair but as I love to try new products and like to alternate what I use, I thought I would give it a go, and I have not been disappointed! Since the launch of the original MorroccanOil we have seen a number of hair oils being brought onto the market including Macadamia Oil and Marrakesh Oil.  When I first used a treatment oil I expected my hair to feel greasy and did not like the idea of applying oil to my hair, but after my first application I was won over! I could see and feel a noticeable improvement.  All the oils can be used on any hair type but are particularly beneficial to dry, damaged hair.  As I have very dry, colour treated, naturally curly (GHD abused!) hair they are perfect for my hair type.  I chose to try Macadamia Oil as not only does it contain macadamia and argan oil, it also promotes healthy hair growth (my hair has reached that annoying point, where it does not seem to grow any longer!) and offers UV protection.

Macadamia Oil Healing Oil Therapy can be used on wet or dry hair, though I prefer to use it on wet hair after I have washed it and before I style it.  I just use a small amount (about a £1 coin size) and work it into my hair, avoiding the root area, as I prefer not to use the oil there.  I then either apply mousse if I am styling my hair curly or apply a straightening product if I am straightening my hair.  Macadamia Oil also reduces drying time by 40-50% which is a saviour when blow-drying my thick hair!Macadamia Oil

Overall I have been very impressed with the condition it leaves my hair in, silky and soft and gives off a lovely shine. (I will let you know if I have a massive growth spurt on my hair!). I will definitely use it again and would recommend it to all our Beauty Followers!
